Van Halen: Exuberant California, Zen Rock'n'roll (Reverb)

A groundbreaking account of Van Halen, an extraordinary band caught up in the events of a revolutionary time. Examines the band's aesthetic and philosophical influences such as romanticism, the Beats and Bebop jazz, as well as their pursuit of 'the art of artlessness' and their talent for, in David Lee Roth's words, 'keep(ing) it...as stupid as possible'. nOriginalBarCode: 9781861899163
