'The Art of Romance' 18K Yellow Gold Diamond Necklace - Chow Sang Sang - This necklace is an adaptation of a design by the London jeweller and goldsmith John Brogden (1820–84) who exhibited at various international exhibitions to critical and public acclaim between 1851 and 1878 and was awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1878 in Paris. Brogden’s firm created a range of fashionable jewellery styles, including the original drawing for this quatrefoil motif pendant, now crammed in an album held in the V&A’s Prints and Drawings collection.
