'The Art of Romance' 18K Yellow Gold Diamond Necklace - Chow Sang Sang - This necklace is an adaptation of a design by the London jeweller and goldsmith John Brogden (1820–84) who exhibited at various international exhibitions to critical and public acclaim between 1851 and 1878 and was awarded a gold medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1878 in Paris. Brogden’s firm created a range of fashionable jewellery styles, including the original drawing for this quatrefoil motif pendant, now crammed in an album held in the V&A’s Prints and Drawings collection. The gold and diamond piece combines the forms of the past with the needs of the present, adapting the 1860s design to its new use. 94250U Seguir leyendo
