<p>Beta-carotene is a natural carotenoid, which is mostly abundant in red, orange, yellow and dark green vegetables and fruits. Beta-carotene is called a provitamin A because it is converted into vitamin A if vitamin A storage levels are low in the body. Vitamin A is good for the skin as it contributes to maintenance of normal skin and mucous membranes.</p> <p>Beta-carotene can be used for tanning to obtain beautiful tanned skin. For the tanning, supplementation can be taken for 1-2 weeks before a holiday on the sunny beach or exposure to the sun. The supplementation can be continued for 1-2 weeks after the trip. However, use of sun lotion with a high SPF for prevention of sun burn is recommendable when tanning.</p> <h3>Dosage</h3> <p>For adults 1 tablet daily swallowed with water.</p> <p>The recommended daily dose should not be exceeded.
