Exactly one year after the successful Album Blood & Glitter (#1 on the Official German Album Charts), LORD OF THE LOST release their first cover Album in the band's history: Weapons Of Mass Seduction will be released on December 29, 2023. The tracklist alone showcases their creative spirit and presents an exclusive selection of world-famous, crossgenerational hits that LORD OF THE LOST transform into their own unique sound in just under 50 minutes. Weapons Of Mass Seduction crowns the band's most successful year to date. After JUDAS reached second place on the German Album Charts in 2021, the Hamburg-based band achieved their first number one with Blood & Glitter. They then went on to participate in the Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool, performed ten concerts as the tour support for the legendary Iron Maiden, and had numerous sold-out headline shows. The international media interest continued even after the ESC. Shows on the main stages of the biggest European festivals, such as Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, are further highlights of an intense year. Weapons Of Mass Seduction concludes 2023 as an homage to some of the most successful tracks in music history. The cover version of Billy Idol's 'Shock To The System' opens the stage for a selection of songs from different decades and genres, given the LORD OF THE LOST treatment with their own style and character. Although the artists could not be more different, Weapons Of Mass Seduction is a cohesive masterpiece that embraces contrasts. For example, the heavy metal epic 'Turbo Lover' by Judas Priest meets modern pop numbers like Sia's 'Unstoppable,' Bishop Briggs' 'River,' and Zella Day's 'High.' 'Hymn', originally by Ultravox, Michael Jackson's legendary 'Give In To Me,' and the Britpop hit 'Somewhere Only We Know' by Keane showcase more facets and present themselves in the typical LORD OF THE LOST sound. Even Bronski Beat's 80s electropop hit 'Smalltown Boy' receives a makeover in the style of LORD OF THE LOST, with Rock elements and the distinctive voice of singer Chris Harms. Alongside Harms on the 80s classic '(I Just) Died In Your Arms' by Cutting Crew is singer-songwriter Anica Russo, who participated with the five musicians in the German ESC preliminary round 'Unser Lied für Liverpool.' Weapons Of Mass Seduction concludes with the emotional cover version of 'House On A Hill' by The Pretty Reckless, lingering on long after. A special 2-CD edition (available in a limited deluxe box and digiheighty) provides an additional selection of covers that LORD OF THE LOST have either already released or performed live throughout their career. This includes the Roxette cover 'The Look' feat. Blümchen, known from Blood & Glitter, 'Children Of The Damned,' which pays tribute to Iron Maiden and the last intense two years they have experienced together with the heavy metal giants, and the cover of the Finnish ESC song 'Cha Cha Cha' by Käärijä - sung completely in Finnish by Chris Harms. LORD OF THE LOST remain true to themselves and once again operate far beyond any genre boundaries.
