Comes as a Limited Edition on colored Vinyl (orange). 'Reptile Brain Music' - the third studio album by Imperial State Electric was originally released in 2013. With a runtime of just over 33 minutes, RBM offers a dozen tracks of their unique and peculiar rock 'n' roll. The album is rounded off by two high-energy live favorites, 'Emptiness into the Void' and 'Down in the Bunker,' in classic Andersson style. But even the less obvious songs on the album offer some unexpected treats. The heavy Blackmoresque 'Faustian Bargains' showcases some unexpected time signatures. 'Dead Things' feels like Beatles meets horror film soundtrack (Fred Estby contributes the lyrics). The frantic 'Born Again' is anything but cheesy, delivering a heavy blow against religion. Recorded at Gutterview Recorders, mixed by Fred Estby & Nicke Andersson, and produced by Nicke Andersson.
