The album also introduced 'Christmas Canon,' which has become one of the band's most popular songs and a modern Christmas classic. 'The Christmas Attic' tells the heartwarming story of a young girl spending a magical night in an attic full of Christmas memories, accompanied by captivating guitar solos and uplifting choir vocals against a rock orchestral backdrop. The album is the second part of TSO's acclaimed Christmas trilogy, which also includes 'Christmas Eve and Other Stories' (1996) and 'The Lost Christmas Eve' (2004). TSO was founded by the late group founder, composer, and lyricist Paul O'Neill. His ambitious vision was to create a progressive rock band that combines rock opera and classic rock with a dazzling live show featuring lights, lasers, and pyrotechnics. In the 1980s and 1990s, O'Neill produced several albums for influential Heavy Metal band Savatage, bringing him together with his longtime collaborators Jon Oliva (vocals), Al Pitrelli (guitar), and Robert Kinkel (keyboards/producer).
