Comes on black Vinyl. Growing up with the epic era of BATHORY in their hearts, it was inevitable that the music EREB ALTOR would create would be influenced by their house gods. With BATHORY's hymns as a spiritual foundation, they set out to create their own branch of the so-called 'Epic Viking Metal' genre. However, a few years after the band's formation, they went on hiatus, and it wasn't until more than a decade later that Mats and Ragnar decided to breathe new life into their sleeping beauty. In late 2003, a recording was made of some of their songs that were over ten years old (slightly modified). The demo was called 'Awakening.' The songs were made available online for people to listen to, and about 100 copies were pressed with a colored layout. The response was great, but a proper album was never released, and the years passed by. But in early 2007, Mats and Ragnar answered the call of the one-eyed old man and entered the Apocalypse Studio in Gävle to record a full album, without having a record deal, hoping that someone would be willing to release it. Needless to say, we at I Hate seized the opportunity because this is top-notch Heavy Metal , meaningful, epic, heavy, melodic, melancholic, and true to the style of BATHORY, SCALD, and DOOMSWORD with elements of CANDLEMASS and ISOLE.
