Both albums set a sales record in their first week, with 685 thousand and 770 thousand albums sold in the U.S., respectively, and naturally reached #1 and #2 on the Billboard charts. Legendary hits such as 'November Rain,' 'Don't Cry,' 'Knocking On Heaven's Door,' 'You Could Be Mine,' and 'Civil War' were born from these albums.
