The band, founded in 1989 by drummer Joakim Sterner in Stockholm, has held a unique and fearless vision from the very beginning, confirming their talent in 1993 with the now-legendary debut album 'The Nocturnal Silence'. Leaving behind the confident amateurism and primitive sounds cherished by many of their peers, NECROPHOBIC created a bold and vibrant identity of their own, conjuring a densely melodic yet infinitely depraved version of macabre extreme metal that has since been imitated by countless lesser-known bands. With 'The Nocturnal Silence', NECROPHOBIC release a reissue of their originally released 1993 debut album.
