The Metallica Blacklist is one of Metallica's most ambitious and largest projects: the Album brings together over 50 artists from various genres and generations, from countless cultures and continents, all of whom reinterpret their favorite track from Metallica's Grammy-winning Album of the same name from 1991, commonly known as 'The Black Album'. The 53 cover tracks are performed by artists such as Miley Cyrus, J. Balvin, Dave Gahan, Alessia Cara + The Warning, Cage The Elephant, Phoebe Bridgers, My Morning Jacket, Sam Fender, Dermot Kennedy, Weezer, Jason Isbell, St. Vincent, Chris Stapleton, Kamasi Washington, Mickey Guyton, Igor Levit, and many more. The proceeds from all Album sales, downloads, and streams are divided equally between the 'All Within My Hands' Foundation, founded by the band themselves in 2017, and over 50 other charitable organizations chosen by the artists featured on the Album.
