Appearing in Vinyl format (45 rpm). Founded in Umeå, Sweden in 1991, the hardcore punk legend Refused is generally regarded as one of the most influential rock bands of the early '00s. Their upcoming 5-track EP 'The Malignant Fire' includes the singles 'Born On The Outs' and 'Malfire' from last year's 'War Music' album, as well as three brand new songs. 'Born On The Outs' is an interpolation of the Swedish House Mafia classic 'Greyhound' (158 million streams on Spotify alone). The band not only recorded a house/EDM hit in the typical 'Refused' style, but the song also features lyrics written by Dennis & David from Refused and released by Swedish House Mafia. This genre crossover created a musical explosion! 'There are certain traditions within Refused, and one of the strongest is the idea that an EP comes after every album. However, this time I believe we have outdone ourselves. 'Malfire' is my favorite song from the album, so it is only fitting that we shed more light on it. 'The Malignant Fire' was supposed to be released before a new Tour, but in these strange times, that Tour never happened. Nevertheless, it is still a great EP following a great album.
