After the lavishly packaged LP sets "Mothership" and "The Song Remains the Same", all CD lovers are finally blessed with a similar crown jewel to shine as the flagship of their record collection. The box collects all official Zep studio albums plus the live (soundtrack) "The Song Remains the Same" and the outtake epiloques of "Coda", originally released shortly after the band had split up due to the all-too early demise of drummer John Bonham. All albums are packaged in a beautiful slipcase. The CD's stay true to the original vinyls down to the smallest detail, including the spinning wheel of "III" and the punched-out window of "Physical Graffiti" and naturally contain ALL original texts and gatefold artwork plus the so called "Obi" banderol, hitherto only available in Japan.
The true collector's highlight is the inclusion of all six (!) different covers of "In Through the Outdoor" (originally comprising a vinyl set known by letters A-F and fetching ridiculous prices at well-known auction houses - who has all the different versions?!) and the much sought-after original cover of "I" with turquoise lettering (later orange or red). Soundwise, there's no sense in emphasizing the superior quality of the Japanese CD's once again.
In a nutshell, this box is a gem fallen from collector heaven. Limited edition, available while stocks last. Seguir leyendo
