The "Watershed" vinyl package includes a 4-page booklet and an exclusive poster. The album is available as a limited and individually numbered first edition on gold-colored vinyl, with only 4,000 copies. Driven by the driving force of lead singer, songwriter, and guitarist Mikael Åkerfeldt, Opeth has become one of the most successful Swedish metal bands of all time. On their 9th studio album, "Watershed," they combine death metal elements with a progressive structured sound, which was acclaimed by fans and critics alike, not least because of the brilliant transitions between slow melodic parts and dark heavy riffs. Mikael Åkerfeldt's vocals, which have noticeably matured over the years, alternating between folky-clean parts and intense death growls, also contribute to the success of the album. The included songs offer the absolute extremes of powerful guitar and drum-driven sounds, to dreamy keyboard and synthesizer sounds, with a wall of guitar riffs and fast drums creating a depressing and doomish atmosphere in the more brutal tracks. "Watershed" is one of the strongest and most impressive albums in Opeth's entire catalog.
