Finally, the first all-encompassing live album from US progressive metal pioneers Fates Warning in almost two decades – featuring a total of 23 songs with a running time of 138 minutes. ‘Live Over Europe’ was recorded at various concerts (Aschaffenburg in Germany, Belgrade in Serbia, Thessaloniki and Athens in Greece, Rome and Milan in Italy, Budapest in Hungary, and Ljubljana in Slovenia) over the course of ‘Theories of Flight’, the band’s January 2018 European tour featuring the following line-up: Ray Alder (vocals), Jim Matheos (guitar), Joey Vera (bass & vocals), Bobby Jarzombek (drums) & Mike Abdow (guitar & vocals). This live release follows the band’s extremely successful 2016 studio album ‘Theories of Flight’, which was heralded by many experts as album of the month (or even album of the year, depending on who you ask) and also took the following spots in various national charts: No. 12 in Germany; No. 80 in Italy; No. 70 in Holland; No. 133 (Flemish) and No. 192 (Wallonia) in Belgium; and in the USA it even hit No. 2 on the Billboard Heatseekers Chart and No. 62 in the Current Top 200 Albums. Like ‘Theories of Flight’, ‘Live Over Europe’ was mixed by Jens Bogren (Opeth, Kreator, Symphony X, Haken) in Sweden’s Fascination Street Studios and was mastered by Tony Lindgren.
