The limited edition box set ‘The Vinyl Singles Collection 1972 - 1979’ contains 13 of the original band’s newly remastered 7-inch singles, made from black heavyweight vinyl and packaged in sleeves faithful to the originals. More than that, inside the sturdy box with detachable lid you’ll find a 20-page booklet that’s full of quotes, chart histories, memorabilia and a selection of foreign cover artwork. ‘The Vinyl Singles Collection 1972-1979’ is the first of five limited-edition box sets of 7-inch singles. Each set contains a decade’s worth of 7-inch singles (aside from the 80s which stretch into two sets) as originally released in the UK. Thanks to the download code found inside the box, you can even download all the music online. From the fantastic first single in the box, ‘Paper Plane / Softer Ride’, up to perhaps the most beloved song, written by the recently deceased Rick Parfitt, ‘Living on an Island’, the set is a real testament to the creativity of this outstanding and energetic band.
