Re-released on black vinyl! Depeche Mode's 12th studio album, 'Sounds of the Universe' came in at number 1 of the album charts in 21 states. The album stays true to the tone set by its predecessor 'Playing the Angel'. Characteristically pessimistic arrangements once again work in unison with the dark, critical lyrics. The synthesizers sound more playful but also more complex. Melodious pop songs like 'Enjoy the Silence' and 'Precious' are nowhere to be found on this album. Mehr lesen
