No other band has had such a profound impact on the metal genre as Black Sabbath from Birmingham. Now the band’s career is coming to an end after almost 50 years. Black Sabbath have been travelling the world for months on their latest tour, "The End” (with supporting act Rival Sons), and on 4th February they will hold their last concert in their home town of Birmingham. Their final concert on German soil will take place on 17th January at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne. Ozzy Osbourne (vocals), Tony Iommi (guitar), Geezer Butler (bass) and Bill Ward (drums) have sold more than 75 million albums. They have been on the UK Music Hall of Fame since 2005, and in 2006 they joined the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in the US. "The Ultimate Collection" will be released on 28th October. It includes 2 CDs in digipak with 31 tracks. This collection contains songs from the set list the band are using for their current tour and was chosen with the help of the band.
