After the overwhelming success of the last studio album "Love At First Sting" the Scorpions had a lot of pressure to perform well once again. On "Savage Amusement" the band presents itself (after barricading themselves in a studio for three years) in a much more mature light and demonstrate their place in the avant-garde of hard rock production. For the Scorpion's 50 year band anniversary the album now comes as a black original replica version in 180g vinyl with a CD in a pocket with the original songs as well as five previously unreleased bonus tracks: "Taste Of Love", "Edge Of Time", "Don't Wait Too Long" and "Fast And Furious" are interesting never before heard songs, whereas "Living For Tomorrow" was recorded live for the first time on April 26 1988 in Leningrad.
