The three-episode cinema version of "The Hobbit” by J.R.R. Tolkien comes to its grand finale with "The Battle of the Five Armies”. Two days before the official opening date on 8th December the release of the eponymous soundtrack is ideal in order to get attuned to the final film of the most expensive movie trilogy ever. Once more, Academy Award and Grammy winning Howard Shore carries his listeners off into a magical world of sounds. The theme song "The Last Goodbye", written by Fran Walsh and Philippa Boyens, is sung by no less than Hobbit actor and singer Billy Boyd ("Pippin”). A double album that will not only enthuse Hobbit and Lord Of The Rings fans but also lovers of elaborately composed orchestral film music. The soundtrack "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies” by Howard Shore is available as standard double album and as limited deluxe edition including additional bonus tracks and extended versions.
