The official soundtrack to the action highlight of this summer appeared on 29th April in time for the cinema release of the new Marvel film „Guardians of the Galaxy": „Guardians of the Galaxy Awesome Mix Vol.1“ combines 12 classics from the seventies that all play a central role in the film - among others tracks like „Hooked on a Feeling“ by Blue Swede, „I’m Not In Love“ by 10cc, „Come and Get Your Love“ by Redbone as well as „Cherry Bomb“ by The Runaways. Music has a very important role in „Guardians of the Galaxy“, as the songs used for the film are strictly speaking even a central part of the plot: One important point of the film is that one of the main actors, Quill, has a mix tape [„Awesome Mix #1“] his mother had recorded for him shortly before her death.
