The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert

Description

On 20. April of 1992 one of the biggest Rock events of the music history took place in the London Wembley Stadium. Queen said farewellm to their because of aids deceased singer Freddie Mercury with numerous famous guests and a spectacular show. The Freddie Mercury Tribute Concert contains the second, 105 minutes-running part of the event. The remained Queen-members Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor were accompanied with this Best-Of-program of their countless hits by musicians of the most different shades. Outstanding are the performances with The Who-singer Roger Daltrey and Black Sabbath-guitarist Tony Iommi ("I Want It All"), Led Zeppelin-legend Robert Plant ("Crazy Little Thing Called Love"), Def Leppard-front man Joe Elliott and Guns N'Roses-guitarist Slash ("Tie Your Mother Down"), Metallica-shouter James Hetfield and Tony Iommi ("Stone Cold Crazy") and Lisa Stansfield ("I Want To Break Free"), which sampled out quite rocking. But also the calmer moments with among others Paul Young ("Radio Ga Ga"), David Bowie and Eurythmics-singer Annie Lennox ("Under Pressure"), Elton John ("Bohemian Rhapsody", "The Show Must Go On") and very special George Michael ("'39", "These Are The Days Of Our Life", "Somebody To Love") do convince. The most affecting moments were with Brian May, with his solo delivered, moving farewell song "Too Much Love Will Kill You". Read more
